John and Mary Virginia Foncannon Conducting/Coaching Scholarship
DESCRIPTION A maximum of $10,000 to support a scholarship for study of conducting/coaching.
REQUIREMENTS Required Materials Checklist:
- Current resume
- Statement of Mu Phi Epsilon participation
- Most recent unofficial college transcript
- Detailed description of the proposed project (250-500 words)
- A statement of financial need
- A detailed budget
- A high quality video recording of a rehearsal or performance. Submission must be via links to YouTube or other comparable sites provided to the online application system (YouTube preferred, no Dropbox). Recordings in the Scholarship Application process must not be older than two years from the date of application.
- A list of the recorded repertoire including the following:
- Exact titles, opus numbers
- Composers' names
- Timings
- Any additional supporting documents relevant to the specific field of conducting/coaching
- Two current letters of recommendation
- $25 Application Fee
Please note that there will be no return of application fee for incomplete and disqualified applications.
